Dermaplaning
Dermaplaning is a controlled exfoliation of the skin by using a sterile surgical blade. Dermaplane rejuvenates the skin, removes vellus hair and removes dead skin cells on the top layer of the skin.
Dermaplaning is safe for most people, with little risk of side effects when it's performed by a certified specialist.

- Dermaplaning painlessly exfoliates the stratum corneum to stimulate cellular turnover with little to no downtime.
- It minimizes fine lines, wrinkles, scars, and acne scars.
- Vellus, or fine hair, can be removed only. Coarse hair should not be dermaplaned (beards).
- It leaves the skin smooth with an instant brightening appearance. It is a great procedure to prepare for better penetration of facial products.
- It is a great option for clients with sensitive skin and pregnant women who are looking for a deep exfoliation.
- It can be performed prior to treatments like facials, laser, microdermabrasion, and chemical peels for better product penetration.
- It can be performed frequently.
- It helps makeup go on smoother and more evenly.
- It can help significantly lighten post inflammatory scars from past acne.
- It does not make the hair grow back thicker and darker.
- For best results we recommend treatment every 3-4 weeks depending on hair growth cycle.
- This procedure should not be painful, but your artist will consult with you that you may feel slight activity during/after the procedure. Sensitive clients may refer to the feeling as a light sunburn, but will dissipate in 24 hours.
- Please note: Not everyone is a candidate. Clients with active and cystic acne should avoid this type of hair removal, as it can cause further irritation.
- Possible contraindications: clients may want to avoid this treatment if actively undergoing treatment or taking medications such as acccutane, blood thinners, or retin-A. Please consult with your artist.
