During a session, the practitioner channels gentle energy through their hands to support the client’s energetic balance. Clients remain fully clothed while resting comfortably.

What to Expect During a Reiki Session
A Reiki Healing Session at Heavenly Hollow is designed to be a peaceful, restorative experience from the moment you arrive.
You will rest comfortably on a Reiki table, fully clothed, beginning on your back. Soft pillows and a warm blanket are provided to ensure complete comfort, with optional support under the knees if desired. For those who prefer not to lie down, Chair Reiki is also available.
The space is quiet and calming, with gentle meditative music to encourage deep relaxation. During the winter months, the soft glow and warmth of the fireplace add to the tranquil country atmosphere, allowing you to fully unwind.
How It Feels
Reiki is a gentle, hands-on (or hands-hovering) energy practice. Clients commonly report sensations such as:
- Warmth from the practitioner’s hands
- Light tingling or subtle energy movement
- Deep relaxation or a meditative state
- Emotional release
All of these experiences are natural responses as the body shifts into balance.
Once the front of the body is complete, you will be invited to turn onto your stomach so Reiki can continue along the back of the body. After your session, water will be offered, as staying hydrated supports the body’s natural integration process.

When I first started practicing Reiki I couldn't wrap these explanations around my mind. Over years of daily practice, however, I have a better explanation of what is actually happening when we channel Reiki.
Instead of thinking of Reiki as an energy, I became more comfortable thinking of it simply as a practice that reconnects a person with their natural intelligence.
Something we have lost over the decades as we all know deep inside how to heal our bodies. I imagined that during a reiki session a special piece of information is passed on from practitioner to client. This piece of information may be a powerful reminder of the incredible inner wisdom we all have. It’s that same intelligence that heals our wounds without our effort, that tells seeds to grow into trees, that creates full moons or the sun to rotate the earth! It’s always there and it’s everywhere. When a practitioner places their hands on or near someone that person is given an opportunity to respond to this information. Each person will respond uniquely depending on what is possible at the time. How you will respond is entirely free will as our ability to self heal is always present All we need is a little prompt or suggestion to activate the healing response .
